Watching Stargate SG1 and the Big Fight

I totally need to do my homework. I've sort of waste four hours today. For an hour, I watched Stargate SG1. I was planning on only watching for only 20 min today. However, I watched an extra episode because it was where at the end of the third season and it was to be continued. So, I watched the first episode of the forth season. I like that type of episodes because they are different from your average episodes. They occasionally make really good episodes in the middle of the season too. I like them because they aren't predictable. Some of the ones that they do are so predictable it's not even funny because they have done episodes with a similar plot line. The episodes I like move the overall encompassing plot along which is much more interesting than a mini plot which doesn't really have any consequences.

So, I really enjoyed my grappling class today. I really liked it because we learned how to do take downs. Then, practice was really fun. The first match I did was against Colman who is 210 pounds. He's the biggest guy in our class. He beats me every time with an arm bar which I can get out of. The first thing, he did was try to guillotine me when I tried to take him down. In my last dojo, I was keeping getting guillotined. So, I asked a guy at work which did MMA and he said to drop into squat while you push on their hips. (I can't believe that I forget his name. I think it's still there. However, I don't know though. I finally remembered his name. It's Chris Charnos.) When the kid tried to guillotine me again, I did what the guy said and it worked. It almost didn't work when I tried to get out of it. I was at the point I couldn't breathe so sort of jumped my lifting my feet in the air and I popped out. He could have went down on top of me because I fell on my butt, but he let me up. We went down again and tried to put me in an arm bar. So, I stuck my leg in between and he did an ankle lock instead. The second time I went up against him, I almost did a rear naked choke however, he pulled the choking hand and flipped me over because I was off the ground on his back. I was pretty proud of myself that I didn't get hurt because I rolled. When I was thinking about that, I didn't defend myself and he went on top of me on side. I gave up by then because I couldn't breathe at all. He was on my chest. So, he got an easy arm lock.

Then, I went up against Rachel. We're becoming friends because I like to practice with her after class. It was pretty easy because I had her in a standing guillotine. Then she fell on her back which made her tap out. It went pretty quickly. My final match was with Brodie who's 140 pounds. He's always taking me down my getting underneath my arms and sucking my hip inward and making me fall down. Rachel and Colman were watching. So, Colman pretty much coached me when I was fighting him. That was the hardest and longest match ever because both of us got tired. There were some instances I wanted to breathe and rest. But, Colman said that I should continue because I was on top. I was keeping trying to get past his guard which worked a few times. However, I couldn't hold it because he'd flip me. Then, I'd flip him and we were back the same spot. I was very glad that Colman was there to egg me on because I don't think I could have lasted as long. Then, finally Colman switched sides because I was on top almost the whole match. When he did that, Brodie flipped me and got me in an arm bar. Gerrr. Oh well. I think that I'm doing better than sparring that's for sure. I suck at that because I don't have very good balance. I've noticed that I'm not very aggressive. However, I became very aggressive with Brodie because I was fighting him with all of my strength. One moment of the fight, I wanted to take some kidney shots because they were open when I was in his guard.

Well, I have written quite enough. I really need to do my homework. It seems like that there isn't enough time in a day because it's already 7:30. I also have been skipping my classes so I can study. However, I need to work on studying earlier. I wanted to study as soon as possible. However, time just slipped away. I'm not very good at planning because I don't know how long things take me. With homework, I always work on it until I get done.

Made Six Dishes

I'm so tired. I've been cooking ever since I got home from church. I cooked a vegan granola which I didn't like and burnt. I made Egg and Onion Soup, French Onion Soup, Gazpacho, Parsley Rice, and Real Mashed Potatoes. It took forever!!! At least, I'll have some food for this week. Goodnight!!

The Quesailla and the Frittata

I really need to go to bed, but I want to write first. I'm going to bed really late because I went shopping a little late and started cooking too late. So, essentially I'm running late. I wanted to get in as much cooking I can today. However, it looks like I'll cook more tomorrow because I only cooked two things today. The first thing, I cooked was Spinach and Mozzarella Quesadillas. I thought that it sounded really good because I love quesadillas however I didn't like the spinach and onion filling. So, I scraped it and used the roasted red pepper and shredded cheese for Broccoli and mushroom frittata. I've only made a frittata only once and liked it. So, I wanted to make this one however, the top didn't cook enough and the bottom got burnt. Then, it ended up that I didn't like the broccoli because it tasted like it was frozen too much and it was way too mushy. I found out I didn't like the roasted red pepper at all either. So, I thought I was going to through it out like the quesadilla; however, I went through it and picked out everything that I didn't like. Now, it's scrambled eggs with goodies in it instead of a frittata. Oh well, I'm just glad that I like it now.

I got these two recipes from the internet. When, I was looking through my cookbook, I noticed that I either miscounted or someone used my onions because I don't have any for the recipes that I wanted to make. That's the fun about cooking, sometimes I spend money and time making something and it turns out I won't even like it. Cooking takes forever, but I'm really glad I have my mini chopper. It's a time saver. Now, I want to get a dishwasher for this apartment. I don't know if that will ever happen because they are really expensive.

Missing Spokane

I miss Brother Adams. I saw a picture of him and started crying because right now I'm having a hard time with school. Whenever I was having a hard time, I would go to his office and talk to him about what's going on in my life. I love him so much and know that he loves me too. It was always nice to talk to him about what's going on.

I started crying too because of how easy Spokane Community College was. Plus, I had so much fun when I went to school. When summer hit things became hard and really boring. Things picked up during my mini-mission but that was really hard too. Then things became really boring again until I moved to Provo. I have a love and hate relationship with BYU. I love my roommates and the social atmosphere. I just hate how hard school is for me. I have never got bad grades like this before. It would be so much easier if BYU would come to Spokane and I would live at home so I wouldn't get distracted all the time. This week, I've haven't been that distracted which is a good thing. I just need to keep it up every day, so I can get good grades again. I was just so isolated in Spokane during the school year, that it was really easy for me to not get distracted. I didn't go to social things because of homework. Plus, my work forced me to do my homework because there was nothing to do. That was really nice. Now, I'm just really stressed because of my grades. I'm going to start saying "no" to Sarah and stick myself in the library because I need to start isolating myself from everything and everyone. I also need more self discipline with the internet because I can waste so much time on it. I've been getting better though which is good. I haven't been reading and watching as much as last semester. I'm glad that I eased myself into the BYU workload even though I'm still taking really hard classes. I talked to Preston, Rebecka's fiance, and he said that he had to retake Stats. Rebecka said that Stats was here hardest class that she has taken in BYU.

This is what I said on facebook tonight: "Wow, I had a crappy night. I got less than a 64% on my stats test. So, I didn't pull off a good grade in stats. I'm getting tired of stressing about school and getting bad grades. Now, I have do some major catch up because I've been focusing on these stupid tests instead of going to class. :( " I thought I did really well when I went took it because I thought I did better on it than O-chem. Well, I'll know how well I did in O-chem tomorrow or next week.

Taking tests

I should be in bed by now. I have wasted four hours tonight. Hopefully, they won't come and haunt me tomorrow because I have a test to study for that if I would take it right now, I would fail it. So tomorrow, I'm going to skip my classes again and head to the stats lab for help. Rhea and Evan says to not skip classes. Sarah says that skipping class doesn't matter. With me, I'm more leaning to the skipping class part because I do better doing things on my own instead of listening about it even though it can help sometimes. I just really hope that I can pull off tomorrow and all of my studying done. I feel that I did alright with my O-chem test. I got a 75% on the multiple choice part. I really hope that I did well on the written part. I had to completely change my study habits for this test. I actually studied from the book!!! I went over some problems today and they actually helped. So, I'm going to study more from the book. I'm just wondering for both of these classes, I'll learn better reading and doing things by myself instead of going to class. I haven't done that before because I don't like skipping class. Obviously, I need to study a lot more than what I was doing. I haven't had one on one time with O-chem and stats. I have been putting off my stats homework and copying the answers saying that I'll go over them later. Now, the test is tomorrow. At least, I have all day to study for it. Then, I'll take it tomorrow night. Wish me luck and pray that I don't stress out too bad. I have been freaking out the last few days because I don't want to fail any of my tests. I almost did with my neuroscience test last quarter. I don't want to come that close again. I got a break where I had to go to class. So, I studied for a few hours, came back, and finished the test. I don't know if that was OK or not, but it sure saved my butt. Probably, it wasn't OK because I had an unfair advantage over my classmates, but oh well.

I messed up :(

Ya, I totally messed up today. I stayed up really late last night, so I skipped my classes today, which I probably shouldn't have done. I should have at least woken up to go to my stats labs. So, this morning finished watching all five episodes of the Deadliest Warrior. I had so much fun watching, I watched two episodes of Stargate SG1. Big mistake because I needed to really study since I skipped class. Sarah thinks it's not big of a deal to skip class. I don't know. Probably, it's not the best idea to because I still learn a few things. I need to decide what to do tomorrow because I need to take my O-chem test and study stats. I really hope that I do somewhat well on my O-chem because I could have studied a lot more today. However, I just watched videos part of the day. I went to my study group for stats and started flipping out because I didn't know what they were talking about. What really bad is that I don't really do my stats homework. I just copy the answers and say I'll go over it later. Bad idea. I really need to plan out my days so I don't waste time and I can get my homework done instead of waiting for the last minute and barely passing.

Violence and Sex

So, I gave myself enough time to write to day. Then, I got distracted watching a TV show on the internet called the Deadliest Warrior because Ikigai wrote about the coming episode. So, I became interested and watched the latest episode which about 42 minutes. Now, I'm passed my bedtime. The show is cool; however, it's very violent too. I'll probably watch some more because I'm really desensitized to violence on TV. However, since I'm getting better by not watching Rated R movies and not very good PG-13's, I'm getting more and more sensitive to things. For example, I just watched "Save the Last Dance". I know that I watched that in high school and back then, I watched Rated R movies too. Now, I that's the last time I'm going to watch it because how the movie portrayed sex and rule breaking. I know that I'm much more sensitive to sex than to violence, but I'm getting better. Probably, anyone who's not Mormon or even some Mormons wouldn't even understand this post. I don't care because I know that we are commanded that we shouldn't watch that type of things. When, I really think about it, probably I shouldn't watch the Deadliest Warrior too. I still want to watch another one anyway.

Trying to manage my time in Provo

I need to learn to manage my time more wisely. I talked to Mom today because I wanted to wish her a Happy Mother's Day. Plus, I haven't talked to her for awhile. I told her that recently I have been wanting to isolated like I was in Spokane because I could just focus on my school work and not get distracted at all. It was really simple there because many times, I chose not to do fun things because of homework. Now, I'm the opposite because I'm not isolated anymore. Plus, I'm cooking, doing laundry at a laundry mat, and going grocery shopping. So, my time is much more limited. It's stressing me out because I'm not doing my homework. I've been going to class and going to all the labs I can for O-chem and Stats. However, I'm still not doing much of anything outside of homework. I have two tests which I will probably take this Wednesday and Thursday. I've been freaking out about them since Thursday because I haven't and still haven't studied for them yet. It's hard because I love to get distracted. So, mom said that I should isolate myself in the library and study there. I like that I idea. I need to study pretty hard the next few days. Life was much simpler in Spokane.

Fries, Rice, and Roast

Hi. I'm very, very tired. I'm probably going to kill myself myself during the morning and class because I'll get 5 and a half hours of sleep. I still haven't studied because of cooking!! My tests range from next Tuesday to Thursday. Today, I made Skillet French Fries which I didn't like. They were a little burnt and not tasty. Then, I made Chinese Fried Rice with Sesame oil and a cup of chicken tenders. I really like it with the oil. Finally, I made some Sauerbraten. It's alright because it sorta reminds me of Chicken Tikka. It's a little sour. I will know more about the verdict tomorrow. It seems like this book is a hit and miss. Sometimes, it has good tasting recipes and other times, they are just awful.

Space in the refrigerator

I'm sorry that I didn't write last night. It all started yesterday morning. I got up and found that the refrigerator was full because Li moved in. She's a Post Doc working at the Benson building, 31 years old, and married. I started stressing because I didn't have much food in the refrigerator. I wanted space because I haven't gone shopping for over a week and a half and was planning on cooking some things. So I after school, I cleared some space for me. However, last night Li took over the spot and I freaked out. At that time, it was late and was very tired. Sarah had Jim and a friend over. I started crying because I voiced that I didn't have any room in the frig. I became very sensitive. I went to bed without washing any dishes, brushing my teeth, writing in my blog, or reading my scriptures. I didn't say goodnight to any one even though Li came in the room asking me the password for our wireless internet. Then, Sarah came in just when I fell asleep. I felt like crying again but I fell right back asleep. When I went to bed, I had a hard cry. I felt like a fool because I was crying about this. I cried partly because I wanted to be isolated from people. I'm very glad that Becca (my roommate) wasn't there last night so I could cry without talking to anyone. I'm glad that I didn't because I was better in the morning. I just got really depressed. I sometimes do that at night.

I started freaking out this morning because my classmate whose name is Mark and who I sit next to told me that we have a test next week. I'm freaked out about it because I haven't read any of the chapters yet. Plus, I heard that I have a stats test next week too. I haven't done anything outside class because of my cooking and me being busy. I've been cooking and lost 12 pounds. The last couple few days, I gained two pounds because I've been going over my calorie limit. It's well worth it to cook so I avoid anything which is bad for me and it tastes better. However, it takes more time. So, it cuts into my homework time. Now, I'm a little freaked out because I haven't had time to study yet. I just wish that BYU wasn't so hard. Today, I was thinking if I don't do well this term, I could transfer to UVU which is a easier and in Provo. I want to stay in Utah right now. I'm very happy here and with my roommates.

The Perm

So, I want a perm. I'm tired of my hair being frizzy all the time. I know that I'm a girl and should always look pretty. I'm just not interested in doing my hair every day. I always haven't and probably never will. Right now, I'm brushing my hair and leaving every morning. I know that I should do more than that. However, I don't care and don't have that much time. This is why I want a perm again because it's very easy and looks very good on me. I love my hair curly like that. Sarah strongly opposes me getting a perm. I want to talk to mom about it because I'm going to be in Spokane in a month for Evan's graduation. I wish I wasn't a girl sometimes because I have to be forced to do my hair. I know the purpose of looking good all the time, however; it's not an interest of mine. If I'm not interested in it, I likely won't do it.

I got to see my dad!!!

So, I cooked dinner for everyone. I looked on the internet and made meatloaf. It had a thousand ratings. I cooked it and it was really, really good! Dad was here too!! I got to see him a little last night and tonight because he's working in Sandy for a few days. I'm very glad I got to see him because I haven't seen any of my family for four months. I loved it. Plus, my roommates got to meet him plus Trevor. So, my roommates thinks that Trevor is interested in me. I don't know, but he'll really nice. So, I want to go to a play called "The Giver" at the end of May or the beginning of June. I really want to see that play because I loved the book when I read it for my eighth grade English class. I'm totally open about dating him. It's just he hasn't made any clear moves for me. I can understand if he is, he don't want to go on a limb and make things awkward between us. I'm not very good at this whole undercover thing. It makes sense though that I should be a little.

The mall

Man, I'm tired. All I want is to go to bed!! However, I need to write and read my scriptures first. Well, I was going to cook today. However, I went to Salt Lake with Sarah instead. I'm glad I went because I got my chopper!!! I haven't tested it out yet. I was planning on buying it online, but I found it in a store instead. I found it by going around to different stores in an outside mall. The mall had a water show where the fountains of water playing with music. It was really cool plus kids were running through it and getting wet.

Sleepy

Hello, Hello. I'm very tired and want to go to bed. Today, I took a four hour nap because last night I went to bed at 8pm and got up at 2am. Then, I cooked pancakes and worked on my O-chem quiz. The pancakes turned out well, even though carbohydrates don't do very much for me. I'm more of a fat and protein person. I stay full longer with those type of things instead of carbohydrates. So, vegetables and fruits don't really do anything for me either. I'm more of a milk, eggs, cheese, nuts, and meat type of person.

Journal writing and grades

I'm so glad that my roommate reads her scriptures, writes in her journal, and prays everyday. It makes me want to do the same. If I see someone else writing in their journal, I want to do it too. That's why I wrote for a long time when I saw Tony's journal. He wrote in it every day. They were short entries. When I write, they tend to be long because I want to write about everything. Probably, these entries are going to be boring for people because my life isn't that exciting. Oh, well such is life.

Well, I do have some exciting news. I got a B+ in my Book of Mormon Class, and two B- in my neurobiology and O-chem classes. I was expecting a C in O-chem so I'm happy. I'm all right about my neurobiology because it was really boring and the final went horrible. I studied eleven hours for that thing and when I took it, it seemed like I didn't even study. I guessed on a lot of them. I was really freaking out during that final. Actually, I was freaking out about grades when I started getting a little below average on O-chem and neurobiology tests. Then, I stepped it up and still seemed like I was going nowhere. So, probably I'm going to get lower grades this term because I'm full time instead of part time. We'll see though because in the middle of last semester, I got a little lazy. Plus, I felt that I could have had one more class anyway. So, I'm just praying that this term will go well especially O-chem.

Blogs, Scriptures, and Classes

Ok. I need to get in the habit again of reading my scriptures and writing in my journal (my blogs) every night. When I was in high school, I'd start getting ready for bed around 10 to 10:30 P.M. I wrote a page and read my scriptures for an hour. I miss really studying the scriptures. Right now, I'm just reading random scriptures or quotes by the general authorities. I want to get back what I was doing before my mission and school.

Classes started today. It took me forever to decide what to take this spring, summer, and fall. I didn't want to have an overload with classes because BYU is really, really hard. I wish they'd hurry up and post my grades for last semester. I want to call Brother Adams and tell him how I did.

Ratings for my winter professors

I had my last class yesterday in school. Now I'm giving rating for all of my classes. This is to Dr. Savage, my O-chem professor" "I liked your class. This is one of the hardest classes I've ever taken in my life. It's tied with Calculus. I sort of wish that you weren't such a hard grader. I've come across instructors who grade as hard as you. However, I do like the professors that give partial credit and the benefit of the doubt. However, probably that doesn't matter in your class because we are graded based on class ranking. You should put that on your syllabus so we know that everyone is competing against each other. I really like how you lecture, teach, and how you let people ask questions inside of class. You are kind of intimidating though. Thanks for picking very good TA's. I love them because they have me helped so much. They are wonderful because I learn just as much from them as I do with your lectures. I would have liked it if we started with a prayer at the beginning of class. We learn better if we invite the Spirit."

This is to Dr. Lephart, my neurobiology professor. I just realized that his first name is Edwin. One of my ancestor's name was Edwin. "I liked your class. I would have liked it better if we started with a prayer when we started class. I liked that Dave always started class with a prayer when he taught us. We learn better by inviting the Spirit. Thanks for picking Amy as a TA. I like going to the review sessions so I can understand the material better."

This is to Brother Williams: "I'm very happy with this class because this was my easiest class by far. I wish all classes were as easy as yours. I would be less stressed about grades. Thanks for teaching about the Book of Mormon and teaching by the Spirit." He received the highest ratings from me and Dr. Savage received the lowest.

Disappointed in Devon

So, I'm really disappointed with Devon. I was going to write about this this morning; however I took a shower and got ready instead. So last night, I learned that Devon told Sarah that he wants to date her. Of course, she said no because she's not his type. He's being hypocritical and doing a double standard because he told me that he wouldn't date anyone until he is going to get his temple recommend. I can understand why he did that but still. He needs to stand up to his principles. That's what I did when I didn't back down about my health food and trying to avoid thing which are bad in food. If he doesn't want to date me, he needed to say that when he first talked to me instead of giving an excuse.

Then, Sarah said he's not going to speak to me because I confronted him about giving me back my key to my car. Rhea said it's not a very good idea for Devon to drive my car because he doesn't have car insurance. So if he got into an accident, my insurance would have to pay for it. Plus, he has all kinds of garbage in the back of my car. If one borrows my car, one should keep it clean. I let him borrow it because he didn't have a car. However, he did use it when Sarah and he went to the mall yesterday. They could have used Sarah's car instead.

So, I'm very disappointed in him by the way he has treated me so far. If he doesn't talk to me because I stood up to him, I'll be even more disappointed in him. Well, luckily my crush is really waning. It's a lot smaller than it was a week ago. Everything seemed to be fine with our friendship until he and I noticed that I had a crush on him. Then everything went downhill from there because he kept on wanting me to change my eating habits. Sarah, Devon, and Mary Lu don't trust my sources with my health foods. However, I trust my sources more than I trust Devon because of the way he treated me.

It seems like when I really like someone and put my full trust in them, I get hurt. I found that out with my Evil dojo and Uncle Rich. Now, that happened a little with Devon. However, that didn't happen with Sensei Villa, Brother Adams, Tony, Andrey, and Dr. Cough. I know that I have cried over Andrey, but he has treated me with respect and hasn't done anything to intentionally hurt me. The people who have betrayed my trust care more about themselves and don't care about other people's feelings. This is why I have to rely on the Spirit so much because I cannot tell what are people's intentions right off the bat. I pay attention how they treat me and if they do anything screwy or not. Uncle Rich and the Evil dojo did many screwy things that didn't make sense until I saw their intentions. I have to look for warning flags and pay attention how I feel about these people. Devon has really sprung some warning flags on himself by the way he has treated me last week. That's why I don't trust him that much anymore until he can prove otherwise.

To Devon

Hi Devon. I really hope you read this. I was thinking about deleting my last two entries so you wouldn't see them. However, I don't feel like doing that because I didn't need to when I edited my entries for certain people. I'm just letting them stand. You know that I'm really open about everything. So, on this blog I'm open on it too. However, I did write an entry last night which I put on my private blog because it was about what you said yesterday and my feelings about it. I'm sorry that I'm socially awkward. I'm sorry if I made you feel awkward too. Anyway, I'm going to to think about you that much anymore. I'm working at by thinking about other things and trying to get rid of these feelings. I don't know if they will go away completely but I'm going to try. I'm not going to speak to you about my crush anymore. I just want a normal friendship like I had with my best friend in high school.

Ok, now about health foods. Like I said, first read about "My evidences for being treated" that I made about being treated by a chiropractor neurologist. I know that doesn't say anything about eating healthy food. It's just I want you to see that they are NOT quack doctors!!! They know what they are doing and talking about. I want you to gain the trust of chiropractors in general. I trust my chiropractor completely because like I said, I haven't seen any warning flags with him. However, I do see some potential warning flags with you. Those flags are not necessarily read however. Anyways, I tend to trust what any chiropractor writes about because of my experience with my chiropractor.

You have to present some strong evidence and information for me to stop buying health foods because right now, I have some very strong evidence. I'm getting this information from all kinds of sources. I think if you trust chiropractors, I think you'll change your opinion. However if you still don't trust them, look at my other sources. I don't have time right now to post all of the information about what I have read, but I'll do that soon. You, Mary Lu, and Sarah cannot change my mind with just your opinions. I cannot do that all of you haven't researched about it. I'm telling you that you have to read my evidence and come up with some of your evidence on your own. For right now, just go through my blog and read about my experiences with my own chiropractor and the links I have put up. If you don't want to do this, that's fine. Just don't try convince me to stop buying my health foods. Right now, the things that you are saying is only hurting you. Enzymes to denature when they are heated up. I learned this in Bio 101. That's why people cannot have a really high fever. CO2 isn't bad for your skin. I don't know where you heard that from. Anyways, I'm sorry that I'm being really direct with you. Like I said, my communication skills are better in writing than speaking.

Stupid Crush

Oh Why do I really like Devon??? Ugg. I didn't see him today, so I miss him. I sound so pathetic. I don't remember being like this with Andrey. When I came home last night, I was thankful that he came over to visit. When Sarah, Devon, and I were going through my clothes, Devon had some funny facial expressions. I loved it. He makes me laugh and happy. I'm always smiling when I'm around him. I trust him almost completely. I'm very happy that he's staying and is going to school in the fall to get his masters in Logistics. I'm not suppose to like him because it would probably never work out with us. Plus, he still needs to get his temple recommend. He's not even interested in me. Ack! Whenever I get to know him more, I like him even more. Stupid crush. I just never had these strong of feelings for a guy before. I only remember having strong feelings like this for Tony in eighth grade. I wish Devon could read this.

Feelings for Guys

Hi. I have something crazy to tell you. I have feelings for a guy. I can't believe it!! His name is Devon and is a normal, typical guy. I really, really like him. What's amazing is that Mary Lu, my housemate noticed I liked him a couple weeks ago. Last night, he took me on short walk and told me that he noticed signs that I wanted more than a friendship. He said that he wasn't ready for a relationship yet because he wanted to get his temple recommend first. I said that I knew that. We are both cool with it. The thought didn't even cross my mind to date him before he talked to me about it. If I really wanted to date him, our little talk would have hurt me. However, I don't know if it would even work because we both are very different from each other. He's your typical guy who works in construction, loves cars, and fixes cars. Maybe, I really like him because he and my dad has a lot in common. He loves to tease and harass me, which my dad also does. He loves kids, very open about his past, funny, and hugs us whenever he leaves the apartment. However, he does watch rated R movies, has had a very dark past, drinks Mountain Dew more than my brother, and eats very unhealthy. I want a guy who's very strong in the church and is educated just as much or even more than me. He has a year left to go to school, but he isn't right now because he doesn't like it.

I've been very open and trusting with him. I think I think him more of an older brother than a person who I can date. Like I said, I don't know if it will even work if we date. I can't even entertain that idea that much. So, it's better to think of him as an older brother. I've never had an older brother or sister in my life because I'm the oldest in my family. He's ten years older than I am. Mary Lu says that I should get rid of those special feelings that I have for him by focusing on the bad things he does so I will stop liking him. I'm not going to do that. I talked to my sister about it and she said that I'm fine. I can still flirt and be myself around him. I've always said that I don't even know how to flirt but Mary Lu said that I do.

Yesterday, I didn't even know that I had feelings for him until today. I've been listening to my feelings when I'm around and think about him. They are pretty special. However, one gets a different types of feelings with different types of people. I know that my feelings for me aren't you typical feelings. It's just really weird because I've never really had feelings for your typical guy. He's not even good looking. I just think that the whole thing is crazy.

However, it doesn't surprise me that I really like a guy. I meet those kind of guys all over the place. I had my first crush on Tony in eighth grade. Eventually, those feelings went away as we became best friends. I remember putting my arm around him once and he asked my why I was doing that. I couldn't have acted on my feelings anyway because I was too young to date. My second crush was with Tyler. I met him at Youth Conference and spend alot of time with him during that time. I remember sitting on the grass and talking with him during the dance which was outside. We didn't spend time with each other after that because we lived in different towns. The last information I heard about him was the he turned away from the church and turned gay.

I've always been interested in Soren who lives in Spokane. He was my home teacher and the Elder Quorum president. However, I never let him know of my interest in him because I'm very old fashioned. It's better for the guy to ask the girl on a date and let her know of his intentions instead of the other way around. At first, I didn't have feelings for Andrey when we started dating. They developed over time. We still have feelings for each other because we love to talk and be with each other. I love going to the movies with him. Plus, we like to hold hands even though we are not dating. I need to call him because our last conversation ended on a sour note and that was before I left Spokane.

Video games

Ack!! I need to do this earlier during the day. I usually forget about blogging and reading in my scriptures until it's bed time. I could do it during the day because I waste so much time on the internet. I've been spending so much time on this gametrailers watching video reviews for video games. I really like this site because it has a lot more video reviews than gamespot.

My Questions

This is to my chiropractor in Spokane.

Hi Dr. Cough,

Thanks for telling me about that Pacific Botanicals website. Hopefully, I'll find a way to get those Superfood ingredients.

I'm so glad I have your e-mail. Now, I can write all of my questions and you can answer them when you aren't busy. The last couple times I called you were busy, so I don't know when is a good time to call you. I'm going to number my questions so you can answer them easier. Plus, it's my way of letting you know that you didn't skip any questions. I've noticed that many people like to skip some questions when I write to them.

1. In your own words, tell me how homeopathy works. You know I'm taking Total Mercury supplement for my acne. I'm just wondering how four drops three times a day works because it's so tiny!

2. Can I trust bread that's baked at grocery stores that they don't have anything hydrogenated? Or should I not even trust them at all to be safe?

3. What do you personally do to make sure that the food you order doesn't contain any crap when you go to restaurants?

4. You know that I'm taking Super EPA. What should I do when that runs out because it's giving me the essential fatty acids for my body? I was reading that the algae in the Superfood supplement contain Omega 3 fatty acids. Would there be enough Omega 3 when I make and take Superfood? What I'm trying to say is algae the best way to get EPA, GLA, and DHA?

5. You know that website that you pointed me to during our first discussion about Superfood. Well, I forgot its address. When I was looking around, I thought up a test for you. I want to test your abilities. Last winter, I had a research assignment for my botany class. I researched about the Madagascar Periwinkle and its alkaloid vincristine. Now, I want you to test if vincristine is really good, good, neutral, bad, or really bad for my body. I don’t want you to use the internet to research about it because that will give you the answer. I know the correct answer because of my research. Of course, you don’t have to do this if you want too. However, I thought that this might be fun for you and me.

6. Which type of milk should I drink? I usually drink 2%. After reading that website you sent me to read about sugar, it said that pasteurized milk was bad and soy milk was even worse. Do you agree with that? Is it healthier to buy fresh milk?

7. Do you recommend chewing gum? From my research, I’ve read its bad for you especially the kind that has Aspartame. Is it OK to chew gum that has sugar in it or is that bad for my teeth? I like to chew gum because I get these craving to have something sweet. So, I eat something sweet or chew gum to get rid of them. Are sweet cravings natural?

8. How come my body doesn’t like Sunflower seeds? It used to like them but now they give me heartburn when I eat a small amount.

9. How long does that magnet usually last people that I bought from you? Mine is all the way cracked. I taped it so it will hold together. I thought that this magnet would be a little sturdier because one has to wear it every day. I’ve only had it for five months and now it’s falling apart on me.

10. Now my final question, I want to lose weight. I want to get rid of the extra fat on my body. I’ve been eating much healthier than I have in the past. Now, I want to lose some pounds and look better in the mirror. I know it takes diet and exercise. I was talking with my roommate. She said it’s all about counting calories. We figured out that if I eat 1600 to 1700 calories every day, I’ll lose weight. I’m just hoping that it will be enough calories because I’m not going to get anything that has any artificial sweeteners which cut down calories. I’m going to keep avoiding the foods that are bad for me. Is that a good way to lose weight? Is that amount of calories good for my body? I heard that counting calories doesn’t work, but my roommate says it does.

I’d be totally grateful if you answer all of my questions. Some of them have been in my head for months. I have all of them because I’m becoming obsessed with my health. Thus, I’m becoming a health nut. :)

Thanks,

Lizzie

Counting Calories

Right now it's Wednesday night. I'm screwed up my sleep schedule by taking a three hour nap today. I was tired from my six hours of sleep last night and wanted to be fresh for my O-chem test. I think I did really well on it. I wanted to give myself five hours to work on it. However, I got at the testing center at 6:30 and worked for 3 1/2 hours. I was a little rushed at the end and couldn't check all of my work; however, I hardly to change my answers when I do check my tests. I feel better about it than last test. This time, I took it in the music room instead the main room. I don't like the main room because it's really big and quiet. I don't like it because I always need to have music playing. It helps me concentrate. I always listen to my I-Pod when doing my homework. The music room plays classical and new age music. Some of it is really boring, but it much better than nothing. Some of the music I would listen to and put on my I-Pod. I even heard a song from Yanni.

I'm becoming a health nut. I was talking to Sarah about me avoiding all kinds of things which are in foods. She doesn't really agree why I do it because she hasn't put the hours of research I've put into. She was saying things that I disagreed with. I confronted her a little. I don't like to say someone is wrong if it's debatable. The things that I'm avoiding is debatable to the normal public. It's a very conservative view. However, I feel better about avoiding these types of things because of all the research I've done. I just want to be more healthy.

I talked about my weight to Sarah. I don't know how to lose weight at all. She was saying that if I count my calories, I can lose weight. She's been counting calories since she was a kid. She said that she can help me count my calories and exercise together. She got all excited. I want to lose weight because I don't like how look in the mirror. I know that's not a good indicator. However, I've been noticing that depositing fat on my stomach, sides, and back. I used to never have fat on my sides. It's been bothering me when I sleep because I can feel it pull on me when I sleep in my normal position. Because of the fat, I've changed my position. Probably, it better for my back to sleep in the position I sleep in now because it's not twisted. Anyways, I just don't like the tugging on my sides and stomach. It's really uncomfortable. It would be so cool if I lose this extra fat and drop around 170's. I know that's a big hefty goal. I don't know if that's even possible. I'm going to try.

So, I was doing some research if counting calories is the way to go. As I was researching, I found this calculator. I'm going to shoot for 1600 to 1700 calories. I don't know how I will do. I found this really good article about Artificial Sweeteners. Sarah is all about these sweeteners. So, probably it's easier for her to cut the calories than it would for be because I'm avoiding that stuff like the plague. I know that I'm still eating a little MSG and partially hydrogenated foods every day. I'm trying to eat all of that stuff up. I'm only have one chimichanga left which has something hydrogenated. This is a good overview why I avoid things in foods. I just looked in the refrigerator. I need to talk to my roommates because I hardly have any food in there and need to go shopping. However, they are taking up some of my space in the fridge.

8 hours of O-chem

I'm back at home. The internet was fixed yesterday. I don't know if anyone came to the apartment to fix it though. Well, I've done around eight hours of O-chem today. I feel much better about the test now. I know all the reactions and how they work. I like studying with Trevor. He's really nice. It's nice to study with someone because we can answer each others questions. He's six years older than me, that means he's 28 years old. Well, I need to do my search questions for my Book of Mormon class tonight before I go to bed. I wish I didn't have to do them because I would go to bed right now.

O-chem test and the internet

Elizabeth is going to study some more of O-chem. I have a test on Wednesday. Pretty nervous about it. It's because he will give us problems that we haven't seen before. We are suppose to have all the knowledge to work through them. Plus, it's going to be at least three hours long. Why???? It's probably going to take me four to five hours. I'm going to be fried!!!! That's too long! :(

Right now, I'm at BYU campus typing this in the Spencer W. Kimball Tower (SWKT) because the internet is down. I'm here because the internet went down since Saturday night. That's why I didn't write on Sunday. Today, I called the internet provider for my apartment so they could come and fix it. I'm also here to print some things off for O-chem. It doesn't help that Sarah's printer at home is out of black ink and paper. I offered to buy ink and paper, but she declined.

I think that my sleep schedule is getting to be normal again. The last three nights, I've been going to bed around eight to 10 P.M. I'm very happy. I'm just hoping that I can keep it that way.

The Date

This morning I wasted 10 hours on the internet watching videos, mainly SG1. I wish I can go back into time and redo that one because I really needed to study O-chem for my test Tuesday or Wednesday. Tonight, I went on a double date with Mary Lou, Mike, and Joal. We went to a silent movie. We talked throughout the whole thing it was mae in the 1920's and was way melodramatic. It was called the Mark of Zorro. Joul is very nice and different. I like him being different, very refreshing.

Stupid Sleep Schedule

Guess What? I wasn't under a stupid fog this morning. That was wonderful because I didn't have to force myself to go to class. So, I was awake for all of my classes. Then, I went home and read this for fun: How to Save New Brain Cells: Scientific American. It was very interesting because I had no idea that the human brain was capable on making new neurons. Then, I explored around Scientific American for a few hours. Then, I researched a little about brain plasticity. When I found this really cool video called Mixed Feelings. Just now, I was exploring videos for wired science. Now, I spend a lot more time researching my interests on the internet instead of doing homework. Of course, all the things that I read and watch about about Autism, chiropractors, health, and the nervous system. It's very interesting to read about all the this. However, I do get into trouble because I need to be spending this time to do homework instead of entertaining my interests.

Anyways, after I researched for three hours, I started my search questions for my BOM class. I couldn't do it on Tuesday night because it was way too late. So, I took a chance where Professor Williams wouldn't take search questions because of application papers. However, I was wrong. He took them because they were done grading the application papers. So, I got a 100% on my application paper. Which is really nice because it's not going to be that easy in my other classes. I hopefully I'll turn in my late search questions, ask him if I can look at the questions I missed on the last test, and ask him about the book we have to read for an assignment. I have two books that I've already read over 200 hundred pages. I just need to get those book approved by him.

Anyways, I went to the review. During it, I started to get really sleepy. I was going to study with a fellow class mate after the review; however, he said that we could study an hour later. So, I waited for a half an hour; but I realized that I needed to go to bed because I knew I couldn't study that tired. So, I left him a note, walked home, went to bed, and slept for seven hours. I was too tired to go to inner tube water polo which I had to pay 20 dollars to play a half a game last time because I'm a part time student. I was planning on going but I didn't want to sleep deprive my body. I did need the exercise though. Then, I accidentally missed my visiting teacher which were going to visit teach me at 9:30 P.M. So, my sleeping schedule is messed up again. I haven't had so many problems with it before. I don't like sleeping during the day because I missed things like I just wrote about. It's healthier and more productive to sleep at night and to things during the day. However, I don't like to go to bed on time. What really messed me up was staying up during the weekends. Then, it messes up my weekdays where I have to get up early.

I need to study for my Neuroscience test for tomorrow and my O-chem test that's on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm really nervous for that because it's going to be three hours long and there will be problems that I haven't seen before. We wants us to be exhausted after we take it. That makes me really nervous because I haven't done that much practice problems. Plus, I'm slower than everyone else. I don't want to be there for four hours. That's going to fry my brain. I don't like that feeling.

Amost a whole 24 hours

Man, I'm tired. I technically stayed up "all night". Yesterday, I went to bed at three and got up 10. I'm only guessing because I don't remember anymore. So, I stayed up all night researching about chiropractic neurologists and reading a chapter for neuroscience. Then, I put up fliers for our fajita night on Thursday for Enrichment. I couldn't remember which building our ward has for Regency which has three large buildings. So, I thought that we had two buildings and did building number 2. Then, I took a shower and went to three hours of O-chem. At the end of O-chem we had a fire drill. It took me forever to gather my things that a guy told me to leave. It was a good thing, I was about ready to head out. I hate fire alarms because they will cause hearing loss. They are too loud. Then, I watched devotional from by apartment. I learned it's more profitable to give money away because it makes us happier. It releases good and decreases negative neurotransmitters in the brain, thus making us happier. I found out the speaker was Roman Catholic instead of Mormon. I was very surprised because it seemed he was Mormon. He was a very good speaker because he kept me captivated and tuned in. After that, I dinkered more on my laptop until I was falling asleep. So, I set my alarm clock at 3:35. When it went off, Sarah said my name so I could turn it off. My brain didn't want to start. It took shear will power for me to climb out of bed. I had to go to my Neuroscience review for my quiz tomorrow. After that, I finished taping the fliers to the doors at Regency. It turns out that we only have one building and I did the wrong one. I didn't have enough for two, so I went to the other building to see if anybody left theirs up still. However, the first and second floor didn't have any. I noticed there was a message saying to ignore the Fajita night and some to their ward activity instead. I couldn't believe how fast they responded with that. Then, I went to the laundry mat and was there for 2 and a half hours. Then, I went shopping a little because I needed water to last me until tomorrow. These past few days, I haven't had my water. I've been missing it and started drinking the drinks that I have which are usually sweet. Now, I'm not going to do my BOM homework because I'm too tired to. I'm going to have five hours of sleep which isn't a good thing. Hopefully, I won't kill myself tomorrow morning like I did today (my brain not wanting to start and being under a fog). Good night.

The Immune Responce

I was looking through the frequently asked questions on the Brain Balance site. This is the question: Do you believe that there is a cure for all learning disorders? This is what he said: "We do believe there is a cure for these disabilities. We have been able to completely recover and or significantly improve the vast majority of children we work with. The exact mechanism as to how this is improving brain functions needs to be studied more before we can say it is a cure. However, there is no doubt that the brain has the ability to repair itself. Through the principles of neuroplasticity the brain has the ability to grow new connections; the brain cells can become larger and more efficient. We can improve the timing and rhythm between the two halves of the brain and make them more coherent. It is even now thought that we might be capable of actually creating new brain cells. This all happens with the proper stimulation of particular circuits in the brain. This is best done with a combination of environmental and cognitive based stimulation directed toward smaller deficient circuits. We also know that many of the children we work with seem to have imbalances in their immune response. Their immune systems are overactive and they appear to be suffering from autoimmune problems. This leads to chronic lifelong inflammation of the body and the brain. We believe this inflammation and autoimmunity also starts in the brain. The brain controls the balance of the immune response. The left hemisphere activates the immune system, the right suppresses it. If the child has decreased activity in the right hemisphere and the left hemisphere is relatively increased we will see this same effect on the immune response. The child will have an overactive immune response and may show signs of autoimmunity. Eliminating foods that the child may be sensitive to can be helpful but this does not correct the problem. If the problem is secondary to a functional imbalance in the brain the only way to correct the immune imbalance is to correct the brain imbalance."

Dr. Clark talked about the overactive immune response in his DVD. I wonder if I have that. I hardly get sick. However, it's really hard for me to lose weight. I don't really know how. I would like to so my stomach and sides won't be so flabby. :) I just eat when I get hungry. Lately, I've been trying to eat foods that don't contain the things that are harmful to my body. It would totally make sense too if my immune system is attacking my brain and making my brain slow. That is a scary thought! That would be so cool if we discovered that adults do make new neurons. Right now, they are saying our brain cannot. However, we still don't know much about the brain. I've realized that more and more when I read from my neuroscience textbook.

My evidence for being treated

A few days ago, I talked to my mom about being treated by Dr. Clark. Now, I've been talking to Rhea, my sister, on Facebook. She's being very closed minded about the whole thing. She's basing her assumptions on my local chiropractor that does many non-scientific things. I know why that my family doesn't believe in him. They need to give him a chance, go to him themselves, and have an open mind. I don't know how to make them understand. I wouldn't have believed what I was saying myself until I experienced it. I know his adjustments work because EVERY TIME my balance has gotten a little better. My dad says that anyone could have worked on my balance. Then, why didn't they take me to anyone that could have fixed it???? Well, they didn't. So, I found my chiropractor who made my balance much better. I believe that only he can fix it because I know that just through traditional medicine, it wouldn't have worked. I've put so much research about what my chiropractor has told me. Every thing makes sense. I know that my chiropractor isn't a scam artist. I haven't seen any warning flags when I went to his office and talked to him on the phone. In the past, people have betrayed my trust because I ignored warning flags. It's just my family doesn't believe in him.

Now when I say I want to be treated by Dr. Clark, that mistrust is coming up again from Rhea. Dr. Clark is the real deal because he talks about things that makes sense from a normal, medical view. I've put so much research into Chiropractic Neurologists. I know that they can treat people that normal doctors cannot treat. They try to solve the problem instead of trying to cover the symptoms up. I don't trust the Food and Drug Administration because of the research I've done about trans fats in foods, Aspartame, and MSG. If the FDA allows these things in our foods, are vaccines and drugs safe. Probably, not and probably that's why my chiropractor says that drugs cause nerve flow interference. The more and more research I've done about these types of things, the more and more I'm willing to do things the natural way. Here are two things that I just found on the internet about these things. The first one is a news documentary that Fox News has done about Aspartame.

The second one is from a Neurosurgeon. I haven't read this yet, but I'm going to.

Trans Fat

MSG

Ok. Here's an article written about Asperger's Syndrome by a Chiropractic Neurologist, "Asperger's Syndrome, a new prospective". I've been on so many Chiropractic Neurologist websites and viewed their patient testimonials. I know that doesn't say much but still!!! There has to be some truth of the matter. After Chiropractic school, they do three more years of schooling to be a Chiropractic Neurologist and have to pass a board exam like normal doctors. Dr. Z. Dr. Brown. I found a really good paper about "All about Functional Disconnection Syndrome" which Chiropractic Neurologists are trained to solve. I want to read this later "Neurological Development for Learning". Dr. Kuhn. Dr. Gross. Dr. Keri Chiappino. Dr. Scopelliti. Dr. Roger Borbon. I could site more and more doctors. However, that's not necessary because I have provided you with enough information to read from. This isn't a scam because there are many chiropractic neurologists across the US. They must work because they would go out of business real fast. This is why I want to be treated. I want to get rid of my Asperger's Syndrome once and for all. I don't care how much it will cost!!! I want to get rid of it and going to a Chiropractic Neurologist is the answer. I don't think that my family has realized how much I've read about them and how they treat these types of disorders. I've researched about Autism and Asperger's Syndrome in general for a couple years now. No one knows how to treat Autism and Asperger's Syndrome except for Chiropractic Neurologists. Now, I just need get my family to read this entry so they can see for themselves why I want to be treated. I've done my research, now you must do yours and discover what I have discovered. Now Read!!!!

Brain Balance. Another on Brain Balance. Another on Dr. Scopelliti. Dr. Goldenberg. Dr. Heimlich. Brain Balance, it's not a duplicate.

Brain Balance on the news.

I finally found one that really makes sense. It's from Brain Balance again and it's about Autism. It makes sense why my skills are uneven. That makes whole lot of sense why I'm slow. I'm slow because my two hemispheres are not communicating with each other. If they are, they are doing it pretty slowly. Thus, I'm a slow learner. That's why I'm having trouble at BYU. I want to take an increased work load but I'm afraid that I'm too slow. Thus, I spend more money going slowly through college instead of keeping up the pace like everyone else. I want to get treated so I don't have to worry about this anymore.

Worst Movie Ever!!!

Elizabeth walked out Fired Up last night. WARNING!! LDS, DO NOT SEE THAT MOVIE!!! One of the worst movies I've seen. It totally drove the Spirit away. It was horrible!! Katrina, Sarah, and I were going to see a movie at the dollar theater. However, it was almost sold out so we wouldn't have sat together. So, we went to a regular theater. I let them pick the movie. It was a movie that was just about to start we we arrived. So, we wouldn't have to wait. It was the worst movie ever because it was all about these two high school football players wanting to go to cheerleading camp so they can try out the "new produce." This movie treated girls and women as objects. There was a whole bunch of swearing and sexual innuendos. I would have left earlier, but Katrina and Sarah wasn't saying anything. From the start of the movie, it started to offend me. I think I watched 45 minutes to an hour until I got up and left. I just couldn't take it any more. Those type of movies create monsters like my Uncle Rich. As I waited for Sarah and Katrina, I started crying a little. When they came out, I apologized that I walked out. They didn't mind because they knew it was the right thing to do. I asked them if they wanted to leave too. Katrina said that she did and Sarah said that she was used to those types of movies because she's a convert. I just felt horrible because of the movie. So, we went to Cold Stone and ate ice cream. Next time, we are going to research and see what the critics say about it because I don't want to waste my money again. I looked at the reviews for it and not a lot of people liked it. It should have been rated R instead of PG-13.

A thing just popped up for Avast. It the anti-virus program that I use for my laptop. It has 75 million users. That's a whole lot of people. No wonder, one can waste so much time on the internet.

E-mailing Dr. Clark Part 3

Elizabeth,
Your information packet is on the way. I, too, want you to feel "normal." That's what all of my patients want. I can tell you that the single biggest indicator of whether or not you get better is if you do what I tell you to do. It's that simple. I haven't had an Asperger's case yet that hasn't improved dramatically in terms of speed, focus, attention, understanding inferences & implications and social skills & social anxiety.

I totally understand that you would like me to promise you results. But there are no promises. I can't promise you anything because I have no control over what my patients do outside of my office. What I can promise you is that I will use all of my experience, intelligence and energy to help you. I recommend that you watch the DVD first, then ask your parents to do the same. It will make the best argument for our approach.

Your examination will be $650 and take about 2 hours. What specialized lab testing you need depends on what I find during your exam and what I see in your case review and case history forms (in the packet being sent to you.) Take it one step at a time--DVD and packet first. Complete the forms. Have your parents watch the DVD. Send all your forms back to us and call to make an appointment.

Hi Dr Clark,
I just watched your DVD and all of it made sense, scientifically of course. Now, I really want to be treated by you. My parents were against my chiropractor because none of the things he said made sense scientifically. He likes to fix things by using very nonscientific things like Applied Kinesiology, meridians, and tuning forks. However, yours are all scientific so hopefully my parents will jump on board with me when they watch the DVD. Can you send my parents the information packet with the DVD? That would be easier for me so I don't have to send the copy you sent to me to them. If you could do this for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Lizzie

I know if I get treated my him, it's going to be really expensive. I'd be willing to put my education on hold for the summer so I could and move back to Spokane just to get treatment. I have a feeling when my parents see as I do, they'd be willing to pay for the treatment. I just really hope the DVD works. I wish that I could put it on this blog. However, I'd have to upload it on the web, which I don't know how to do. Probably, it's copyrighted anyway. Plus, it's an hour and half DVD. It didn't seem that long when I watched it.

Quiz Review and the Mail

I actually worked on O-chem in the organic chemistry tutor lab today. I went to the quiz review today. I felt that I needed to go over more problems. So, I went to the lab because there were review questions on the board that had an answer key. Hopefully, I'll do better on the quiz tomorrow than last week. I spent more time studying this week than last week. My professor has a tendency to not provide answer keys for practice problems, which makes things a little hard. I like to check to see if my answers are right. I'm really hoping that information packet and the DVD from Dr. Clark comes in the mail tomorrow. I've been checking the mailbox a lot the past two day.

Migrains and chiropractors

I really need to learn how to balance my time. It's just hard when I get distracted with things that really grab my attention. I hyper-focus on things. Today, I was looking on a website that my chiropractor suggested that I should look at because I asked him about high fructose corn syrup. I called him last night which was a Tuesday night because I had a headache. I went to bed at 11:00 A.M. and woke up with the headache around 6:50 P.M. So, I called him because I knew I wasn't dehydrated (lately I've been trying to drink a gallon a day again) and I wasn't tired. I already slept for seven hours at that time. So, he gave me a free adjustment over the phone because this was a new thing for me (being in pain). Then, he said I should walk around a 15 to 20 minutes outside. I followed his instructions and went to bed. Then, twice I got up and my headache was even worse. I noticed that it felt better if I stayed in bed. Any physical activity made my head pound and that's really painful. So, twice I went to bed with my head pounding. It got so bad that I had to put my hand on my forehead, so it wouldn't hurt as I was trying to fall asleep.

At 1:00 A.M., I got tired of playing with the headache. I was waiting for my adjustment to get rid of the headache or itself to go away. However, it never did. So, I ate a peanut butter sandwich because Mary Lou (one of my housemates) said that it get rid of headaches. I was desperate. I wasn't tired anymore and didn't want to fall asleep. I took an Excedrin and prayed to Heavenly Father that my headache will go away. I try to stay away from taking any conventional medicine because it causes nerve flow interference. I need to ask him to be more specific about that now since I'm learning about neurons. I went to bed and fell asleep. Thirty to forty minutes later I woke up and it was finally gone. I was so happy.

As I talked to Sarah (my roommate) about getting headaches and Excedrin, I questioned if my headache was a migraine since Excedrin is a migraine medicine. So, I researched about it and found out that I do get migraines. I thought that they were really bad headaches that force me to go to sleep if I haven't had enough. So, I had that headache for seven hours. I slept a good solid 13 hours. So, now I wonder if I need adjustment again. I have to ask if he found lots of problems when he adjusted me. Probably, it would really help if I went to bed the same time every night. When school started, I was fine. However, I would stay up really late during the weekends. Then, my sleep schedule would get screwed up. Lately, I've been sleeping after my classes. That's why I went to bed at 11 A.M. Now, I'm really screwed up. I have two quiz review sessions to go tomorrow. So, I'll get less than four hours of sleep. I'm screwed up because I took a four hour nap today.

If I had all the money in the world, I would get new glasses, be adjusted by my chiropractor, buy nutrient supplements, and get treated be a chiropractic neurologist in Dallas, Texas. I just want my Asperger's Syndrome to go away. I'm just really worried about increasing my workload and not doing well in my classes. I want to be faster in general and especially, learn faster. I'm just really worried about chiropractic school because of the insane workload. So, I really want to convince my parents to let me get treated by a chiropractic neurologist so I don't have to always worry about school and work. It's really expensive and he's all the way in Dallas, Texas. They are already paying for my education and everything else right now.

I'm afraid that it will get in the way if I want to get a job like it has in the past. I'm hoping that my parents will hear me out and not reject the whole thing like what they are doing to my chiropractor. I just want to be normal. I don't want to get distracted and be hyper-focused on something all the time. I've had a problem with that since I was a kid. Probably, that's why they stuck me on Ritalin. I want to learn subjects like calculus and organic chemistry faster. I wish my family would read my blog. I'm sorry, I'm voicing all my needs and wants right now. Sarah said I need to remember that everything will work out in the end.

E-mailing Dr. Clark Part 2

I need to go to this Chiropractic Neurologist because it took me five hours where it was suppose to take me just one minute to a half hour for me to start writing. I wanted to go to bed six hours ago. I had the chance on going to bed on time tonight. But I blew it because I got distracted on the internet. Oh, I just want to become normal. I got on my laptop again because I wanted to write in my blog and study my scriptures first. First, I started watching video game reviews on a website called gamepro.com. Then, I checked my e-mail and read more about Dr. Clark. I researched a little around brain-based learning. I wanted to find out what that was. Then, I found this site. I haven't finished reading it yet. Then, I wanted to e-mail Dr. Clark again. Here's the e-mail that he sent me:

Elizabeth,
I can't give you any "advice" specific to your situation until you've been assessed by us. I think I should send you a DVD about our treatment program so you can decide if you'd like to come to Dallas to have that done (a one-day process).
A few points:
--There is no single cause of Autistic Spectrum Conditions and no single treatment. That means mercury may be a factor, but its certainly not THE factor. (the DVD will talk about this)
--"Cure" is an interesting word. I prefer to say that "recovery" is possible. Absolutely possible.
Dr. David Clark

Then, here's the e-mail I sent back:

Hi Dr. Clark,
Thanks for e-mailing me back. I looked through your website a little more and found why your approach is different. I knew why already, but now I know why you would like me to come to Dallas for a day. I will look at your DVD too. If I come to Dallas, that would display tons of trust and confidence in you on my behalf. I'm a poor college student. I don't have the money to come to Dallas for a day. So, I would have to convince my parents to give me money just to get there. Then, I don't know how much the testing would even cost. Right now, I have health insurance through Brigham Young University, so I doubt it will cover anything. Thus, you need to promise me that I will see improvement in my Asperger's Syndrome. So, do you think I can start learning faster with different subjects if I get treated by you? Will school become easier? Will I have less problems of being distracted all the time? Will I be able to explain things easier? When I went on a seven week mission, I was able to explain things better with the amount of practice that I had by talking to tons of people. Will I get faster in general? Will I be able to get implied meanings in conversations without people saying it banging the meaning over my head? After I'm done with treatment, will a normal psychiatrist say I still have Asperger's Syndrome? I'm asking you all of these questions because I'll have to present a pretty strong case to my parents. They are paying for my education already. I'll have to present some pretty strong evidence that your treatments will help because probably they are expensive. When I went to my local chiropractor, I had to pay all of it by myself because they thought that just anyone could help my balance. They don't believe in expensive nutrient supplementation, which come from plants, that the body actually picks up and uses. They believe in the cheap supplementation that you get at the grocery stores, which come from inorganic compounds like rocks, that the body doesn't recognize and use. If you help me present a good strong case that make sense to my parents, I would be most grateful. I would give anything in the world to become normal like everyone else. Please, I just want to trust you; but I have to become really wary when it comes with money.
Thanks,
Lizzie

E-mailing Dr. Clark

Hi Dr Clark,

I've been following your blog for a couple months now. I found it because I want to be a chiropractic neurologist. I'm emailing you because I want some suggestions that can help me through school. When I was seven years old, I was diagnosed with ADD. I was put on Ritalin and was on it off and on all the way through high school. I used it my first year of college. After that, I got off of it because I didn't like how it changed my personality by making me quieter. When I was 11 years old, I was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism. A few months ago that diagnosis changed into Asperger's Syndrome.

I can read faces and somewhat with body language. However, I know that some people are way better at reading body language than me. I do very well socially because I like and enjoy being around and communicating with people. I do get lonely if I don't talk to people for long periods of time. I like to be blunt and direct about things. I have been known to be too trusting with people. Sometimes, I tend to take things literally. My senses aren't whacked out like other Aspies. I'm picky about clothes and how comfortable they are. I love playing with things that are in my hands. I cannot sit still because I always have to be moving some part of my body. Music helps me to concentrate especially with homework. I have obsessions that can get me in trouble by distracting me from my homework.

One thing that I really don't like about myself is that I'm really, really slow. I've always been slow since I was a little kid. I would like some suggestions to help speed up my mental processing. Right now, I’m taking Organic Chemistry. I'm pretty slow at it because I'm not good with abstract things. Math and chemistry are my hardest subjects for me to grasp. I think in pictures and words. Sometimes, I have trouble explaining things because I'm seeing the picture or concept in my head and have trouble describing in words. I definitely think by associations. I have a really high reading comprehension and good memory. It just takes me forever to comprehend subjects like O-chem. Once I understand it, I remember it and do well on tests.

When I went to a community college, I took a lesser workload so I can get better grades. It was based on quarters so I took 10 credits while the majority of students took 15. Now, I'm going to Brigham Young University which is much harder than the community college. Now, I'm technically a part time student but I feel like a full time student because of O-chem. I'm majoring in Neuroscience because I want to be a chiropractic neurologist and it will be very applicable. I want to be one because I want to help people like me with Asperger's and ADD while helping myself too. I know that conventional medicine doesn't always work. Many people say that Autism cannot be cured. I thought that too. I still don't know if I can be cured. However, with the help of my Brimhall certified chiropractor, my balanced and coordination improved. I never thought that my balance would improve at all because of the hours I have put into karate which have kicks in the training.

I know that there are theories that mercury causes Autism. My chiropractor does nutritional assessments and said that the mercury in my body is part of the cause of my acne breakouts. So, right now I'm taking a HomeoPathic Combination of Total Mercury so I can get it out of my system. Hopefully, that will speed up my brain. I've been avoiding anything hydrogenated and that has MSG in it. What do you think about High Fructose Corn Syrup? Anyway, I still have a little hydrogenated foods everyday because my roommates like to give me food that tastes good. I just don't buy anything that's hydrogenated and has MSG. I've been taking other nutritional supplements that my chiropractor has suggested that I should take to strengthen certain organs in my body.

It would be really nice to go to a chiropractic neurologist that treats Asperger's Syndrome, however; I don't think there's anyone near Provo, Utah. So, you are the best next option because you seem really open for people to e-mail you on your blog. I would just like to do better in school so I can take an increased workload while getting A's or at least B's. I just want to be prepared for chiropractic school too because the workload is intense. I would like to be able to handle it with out my grades dropping.

Thanks,

Lizzie

Stupid Spastic Program

I'm back!!!! I know that no one reads this because I'm so off and on about blogging. I really need to blog every day. I'm going to try this week because of a religion assignment. I just stinks that I have no time to do homework sometimes. I wanted to today, but needed to go to the Salt Lake City airport to give my dad my old laptop. He gave me a new, nice case for my new laptop. I didn't want to put mine in my backpack unprotected because it would get beat up like my old one. I almost didn't get to see him because I was twenty minutes late. I was suppose to be at the airport at 4. So, he called me and I told him where I was. He said that I wouldn't be able to make it because he had to get on his plane. He thought that he could have trusted me to be on time with the laptop. I was late because a spastic program which I never seen before kept on popping up where it wasn't suppose to. I tried to find it on the laptop to delete it, but couldn't find it anywhere. I thought I had time to be late. However, that wasn't the case. Dad really wanted my laptop.

Looking for a laptop all day

Hi. I haven't been writing the last few days because I've been so involved about finding a laptop for me for Christmas. I've been on my laptop searching and reading all day/night. I want to get the best deal for my money, so that requires lots of time. I didn't plan on getting a laptop a Christmas because I thought my parents would pay for it as a graduation present when I graduated from high school. So, they still owe me a graduation present. I shouldn't complain because they are going to pay for food and rent at BYU. I'm going to work for Securitas over there, but it's going to be part time again. Ugg. I don't like receiving 220 dollars every two weeks. That's not enough for me. I want to take care of my body by buying these Dietary Supplements. However, they are really expensive. I still need new glasses. I want to get the plastic kind that Rhea has because my metal ones short circuit both of my hemispheres. Plus, I'd look more stylish, hip, and modern. Anyways, hopefully I can pull off working more hours at BYU and still getting good grades. I don't need to worry so much about them anymore because I want to be a chiropractor now. I'm thinking as the years go by, chiropractic schools will become more competitive like medical and veterinarian schools. I've been reading the they are becoming more popular and accepted with the general public. I acquired this quote from naturalhealers.com about chiropractors: As a testament to their practice, the majority of chiropractors remain in their profession until retirement. Exceptional job growth, lifelong learning opportunities and the chance to help people heal every day—chiropractic medicine promises a long-term career filled with exceptional professional and personal rewards. Earning your credentials and building your chiropractic practice will take dedication and commitment, but if the statistics hold true, you will never have to look for another job again.

Money

Mixing up laptops

I need to go to bed. I don't want to be falling asleep at work tomorrow. (I mean today.) I'm looking around for new laptops. I found Acer Aspire One and the Asus 900HA. I'm really comfortable with the Acer after seeing a video review on Amazon.com. Now, I have to look at the Asus. For some reason, I thought the Asus was the Acer until I got back to MyEbay. Good thing I checked. It would be really nice to have an extra portable laptop for school with a big hard drive for my music. I'm going to see my chiropractor tomorrow. I'm going to tell him that my balance is crap when I close my eyes. I can't even balance. It's like when I started with him with my eyes are open. Plus, I'm going to ask about the antibiotics because my face is getting worse. I bought Sister Vergara, Rhea, Evan, and Mom their presents today. All of them were on the internet except Evan's. Night.

I love Brother Adams!!!!!!!!!!!

Elizabeth was looking for scholarships. School is expensive. Dad was stressing me out today because it will cost around two thousand dollars to get me to BYU. Geeze. That sounds about right though with food, tuition, and rent. So, I looked for more scholarships.

Brother Adams taught me something yesterday. In 1 Corinthians, it says that women shouldn't speak in the church. I've always wondered about that because once Sabine got really upset when she read it. People speak in tongues (babble gibberish) in the Pentecostal churches. Women converts were bringing that tradition into the church. So, Paul said that the women shouldn't do that because that wasn't speaking in tongues. They had the same gifts of the Spirit that we have today. The gift of tongues was used during the day of Pentecost because many people of many different languages understood the Elders of the church. So, many misunderstand the Bible nowadays. People think that the wine that Jesus and the Apostles drank was alcoholic, but it wasn't.

When we sang the songs during sacrament, I started crying because my families' ward reminded me of the Euphrata 2nd ward. I remembered the love I felt in that ward. There were so many good saints that helped and served us. I just feel bad for Sister Vergara because she has to go down the hill and walk in the snow. We lived on top of the tallest hill in Euphrata. Hopefully, members are giving her and her new companion rides when they don't have the car.

After sacrament, I introduced my parents and Rhea to Brother Adams. I started crying again because I love Brother Adams so much. So, I didn't speak at for a few minutes when they first met. I got to tell Brother Adams that I loved him during our institute activity on Friday. We were in the kitchen together. He was washing frosting off his pant leg when he tried to put tin foil over the Cinnamon rolls over me. He said something that made me smile. So I said, "Brother Adams, I love you." He said, "Well thanks Lizzie. I love you too." As he went out the kitchen, I said, "Thanks." I'm so glad that I told him I loved him in person because he has literally changed my life for the best. Plus, I won't be here in Spokane much longer.

Bed

I really need to go to bed. I'm really, really bad. I went to bed at three thirty last night and got up 7:20 to go to church with my family. So, I was really tired in some parts of the day, especially when it was time for me to go to my ward. I didn't not want to go at all. So, I was late for Gospel Principles, the class I was going to teach. I did pretty well. (I went to bed a little before 3:30 last night. I felt bad because I just wasted time before then. I played pokemon on facebook and watched three episodes of ER. I should have wrote in my journal and went to bed. I don't have very good self discipline if I don't have a set time where I have to get up the next morning.)

Ward Christmas dinner

Elizabeth was supposed to be the musical chair champion of the world; but AnnMarie stole her chair and her spot. Thus, I'm second in command. I haven't gone to bed yet, so it's still Saturday night. Tonight we had the annual ward Christmas dinner. The white elephant gift exchange was fun and funny. AnnMarie joked a lot about the anti-wrinkle cream that I gave as a gift. Then, Michelle stole it from her because she wanted it. I was surprised that someone stole the woppie cushion and the can of beans that I gave too. I got these gifts from the white elephant gift exchange from last night's Institute activity. Last night was more fun. I'm sort of sad that we didn't go around again like last night so every one can stay with their present or exchange with another. Last time, I got nice decorative hanging bird cages and a picture frame. I was lucky because I was one of the first people that got up to pick. I could have stole anything; however, there was nothing that caught my interest except a five dollar bill. That came in a tithing envelop and grabbed the other one. However, it just contained a two dollar bill. That's why I wanted a second round. Afterwards, we played musical chairs. I did really well and got second place. AnnMarie got first place. That was lots of fun.

Rhea thinks that me wearing a magnet is a load of garbage. I told her about it because I forgot to wear it today. She couldn't believe how much money that my dietary supplements cost me ($118). She said it's more important to take care of external than internal things. I've been spending my money on my chiropractor and the supplements. The last supplement was called Total-Liver detox. It and my magnet helped clear up little things throughout my body when we compared last week's total nutritional scan (TNS) to a couple months ago. Now, I bought Total Leaky Gut and Total Arginine. I'm really hoping that Total Leaky Gut will take me off antibiotics because it's introducing the good type of bacteria in my colon instead of the bad kind. Right when I got it, I stopped taking my Ampicillin because I don't want to kill the good kind of bacteria. So, I'm really hoping the my acne will hold and eventually be gone when I run out. That would be a total miracle to me because I've been battling acne since I was 12 years old, about half my life. A few years ago, I went to a dermatologist to get my acne under control. I went through quite a few antibiotics until we found that Ampicillin worked. First, I took 500mg twice a day. After six months, it dropped to once a day. After another six months, it went down 250mg a day. When I dropped down to that dosage, my face got worse and started getting those huge, deep heads that hurt. The last few months, I haven't gotten them because it's probably because I took it everyday. It's easy to forget to take it because I have to have an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. When I was on my mission, I would drink quite a bit of water with my fishy pill (Liver Detox) right before I went to bed. Then during the night, I would get up to go to the bathroom and take the Ampicillin. Oh, I wish I could write more.

I really need to go to bed because I have to get up early tomorrow morning. I want to listen to Brother Adams speak in my families' home ward tomorrow morning. I don't think they have met him yet. CRAP!!! I forgot all about preparing my lesson for tomorrow in gospel principles. I still want to listen to Brother Adams tomorrow. Maybe, I'll just go to sacrament, go home to prepare my lesson, then go to my singles ward. I may have to skip sacrament meeting though.

P.S. Before I forget, Sister Vergara didn't know what a white elephant gift exchange was. That topic came up when I was talking to a member because we were talking about the white elephant store here in Spokane.

Researching about chiropractor neurologists

This is going to be short again. It seems like when I get on the computer, I can't get off of it because there is so much information I can research and read about. I can be on the computer all day watching and reading things. It doesn't bother me because I don't need to be around people all day to be happy. For me to be happy, I want my mind to be stimulated and challenged. That's why I thing my job for example, is very boring. It's not challenging at all!!! All I do is sit there either listen to my music and cross-stitch or listen to audio books. Thankfully, I walk around the site twice a shift. Plus, I check semi-trucks and their trailers for damage and talk to their drivers.

Anyways, five hours ago I was meaning to write in this blog. However, I was sidetracked and started reading the blogs I was following. Then, I wanted to know if any chiropractic neurologists kept any blogs of their own on blogger and searched for them. I wasn't that successful and started reading anti-chiro. One of the blogs, had a link to this video "Adjusting the Joints" which is anti-chiro saying that it's dangerous and not effective. Then, I started watching more videos on that site. After a few hours, I wanted to see if there were any chiropractic neurology videos on youtube. Then, I found Dr. Clark (a chiropractic neurologist) interview a mother that had a son with PDD-NOS. I went on his website and found a video about autism and his blog. Now I want to email him for his advise for how to become like him and how to get better with my Asperger's Syndrome. I've been thinking about going to one to fix my problems; however, I don't think that there's any in Spokane or Provo that can help me. Plus, probably it's expensive. So, I want his advice. Now, I'm here in the wee hours of the morning, 6 AM, typing and telling myself I have to go to bed. If I was on my mission, I'd be getting up now. I sleep schedule is all screwed up because I don't like to go to bed. I don't have a set time where I have to get up in the morning, so I stay up late. It's been getting later and later since I got off my mission. I love this blog because I can write about my day without it looking sloppy and in a time efficient manner.

100th Post!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish that I could make this post special. However, I'm tired and need to go to bed. I volunteered to work a twelve hour shift today because the night guy, Brian, wasn't feeling so good. So, I left work at 3:16 A.M. When I got home, ER was done downloading and watched two episodes. I gave in and downloaded two seasons. I have very bad self discipline. I'll talk more about it later. I want to begin to blog daily again. My enthusiasm convinced me that I should start again. When I was on my mission, I tried so hard to write in my journal. I did a pretty good job. However, I used part of my study time to write in it. I stopped writing in it at the end because I wanted more time to study the scriptures. It's nearly impossible to write in it at the end of the day because we normally get planning done around 10. That gives us a half an hour to get ready for bed. If it wasn't for Sister Vergara, I would have never gone to bed on time! She was all about strict obedience.

Hello there

Hi. It's been quite awhile that I have written in this blog. :( Many things has happened that has changed my direction in life. Before my mission, I wanted to go on a 18 month mission and be a doctor. Now, I feel that Heavenly Father wants me to go to BYU now and then, to chiropractic school. I found that there is such as thing called a chiropractic neurologist. That's what I want to be. Of course it's going to take awhile because chiropractic school can be three and a half to five years of schooling depending on what school I go to. If I want to become a chiropractic neurologist, I will in school for another three years. However, that's probably not going to happen when I first graduate because I will have to start paying back my loans in six months instead of five years like MD's.

Energy blast

Elizabeth is leaving. This may be my last entry in seven weeks. I'm excited. I'm going to miss the internet and reading the status updates. Have fun everyone. Bye! Oh, I wish that I started blogging every single day sooner. I wish that I had time to write everything that happened to me today. Since I love my chiropractor, I'll write about him. I was treated today. This was different because he brought glitches on my computer screen my thumping my sternum, moving my head in a different spot, and making me follow his hand with my eyes. I also did that while lying down. He moved his hand to the edge of my vision. Then, he adjusted my back. Jeeze, I need to start icing my back more and not cracking my neck at all. I mean after my adjustment, I could feel my lower back. I haven't been icing my back that much because it hasn't been bothering me. Then, knocked some tuning forks a little a ways from my chest. He said this and the laser will delete all of the glitches that came up on my computer screen. Then, he put the laser on my chest and neck. Then, he said "OH!" I asked him what happened. He said that I just released lots of energy. I think I blasted him and the room with it. He lasered around the room to clean up the energy. I asked him why I couldn't feel it. He said I'm not in tune to it. A little later, I ask him how can one can be in tune to it. He said that he'll tell me tomorrow. I know what he is doing works because my balance was a three on my left foot today and a two on my right. My left was pretty unstable today. Afterwards, my left was a two and my right was a 1.8. So, my balance improved a little after the treatment. Probably, that's insignificant for all of you. However, my balance always improves after a treatment. So, I believe in chi. I think that the knockout punches work on only the students is because they are in tune to it. Regular people aren't like me. I know that all of this sounds crazy. However, I trust my chiropractor and I'm not seeing anything screwy.

Good night. Wish me luck on my mission. Hopefully, I can write a little when I'm on it.
